Barratt Homes in Bridge of Don is hosting a bake sale in aid of Marie Curie’s Blooming Great Tea Party fundraiser.
The team is selling cupcakes at its Mill Brae development in Bridge of Don on Saturday, June 25, from 10am-5.30pm, with all proceeds donated to the cancer charity.
Douglas McLeod, regional director for Barratt Scotland, said: “We are all really excited to get behind Marie Curie’s Blooming Great Tea Party. The charity is a fantastic cause and we hope to raise as much funds as possible.
“It’s great to see our site staff get involved for this fun-filled event and I’m sure local residents will enjoy sampling the cakes too.”
The selection of cakes will be provided by owner of artisan bakery Bluebell Bakes, Carol-Ann Cowie.
She said: “Tea parties have become hugely popular over the past few years and baking turned into a business for me. I’m so pleased to help such a worthwhile campaign and hope that everyone enjoys the cakes.”
The Blooming Great Tea Party is an annual event organised by Marie Curie which aims to raise funds across the UK. Running from 20 until 29 June, the 10-day event encourages people of all ages to get involved and host their own tea party.
