Celebrity builder Tommy Walsh has been admiring the handywork at Dandara’s luxurious flagship property, The Devonshire in Aberdeen’s West End, as it’s announced the biggest ever Scottish Home Show will take place in the city this summer.

The three day event, now in its fifth year, will be hosted at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre from September 23 to 25, with premium homebuilder Dandara confirmed as main sponsor.

Celebrity experts Tommy Walsh, Linda Barker and Charlie Dimmock will be on hand to give visitors and exhibitors advice in the self-build, interiors and gardening zones of the show as well as hosting live demonstrations on the main stage.

The show welcomes back many big name brands, including AGA, Baxters and Scotframe and introduces some exciting new companies including Morale Home Furnishings, Royal Bank of Scotland and Strutt & Parker, with more than 220 exhibitors expected in total.

Visitors to the show can see new technology and innovations including upcycling and recycling demonstrations, and have the opportunity to take expert advice on everything from securing your first mortgage to buying the home of your dreams.

Darren Ross, director of Scottish Home Show, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to bring Scottish Home Show back to Aberdeen for what will be our biggest and best event so far, with more exhibitors and presold tickets than ever before.

“We are incredibly grateful to our main sponsor, Dandara who has supported the event since the beginning.

“We’re also over the moon to welcome back Tommy, Linda, and Charlie who are hugely important members of our team and have helped to shape the plans for this year’s show.

“With gardening classes for children, live music and super cars, we really do have something to keep all of the family entertained over the three days and we can’t wait to celebrate our fifth birthday with the people of the north-east.”

Peter Best, head of sales at Dandara in Aberdeen, said: “We’re really pleased to be back as main sponsor of the Scottish Home Show for the fourth year running, whether you’re looking to move or improve this event has everything to inspire you under the one roof.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to our stand where they can find out more about our stunning homes at Hazelwood, Fairley Grove and Stoneywood, as well as the benefits of buying an energy-efficient new home built to deliver the ‘Dandara difference’ – with the highest standards of finish throughout.”

The Scottish Home Show will this year be raising funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI). Aberdeen has one of the oldest lifeboat stations in Scotland and for over 200 years the crews have been saving lives at sea, as well as inland during flooding, and they have been honoured with 26 awards for gallantry.
