Vauxhall has entered the leisure activity vehicle segment with the Combo Life.
Available in either five- or seven-seat configurations, the Combo Life comes fitted with sliding doors designed to make it a practical option for larger families.
The rearmost seats are individual units too, and their design means that even those in the back have enough room to stretch out.
A variety of safety features have also been fitted to the Combo Life, with systems such as driver drowsiness alert, a head-up display and forward collision alert with pedestrian detection helping contribute to a safe overall driving experience.
Flank Guard, a new collision detection system fitted to the Combo Life, uses 12 sensors to monitor the extremities of the car. Should it detect that the vehicle is about to hit an obstacle, it will warn the drive via the main infotainment screen.
The Combo Life will be offered with a choice of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, with either a five- or six-speed manual gearbox, or an eight-speed automatic.
Thanks to a standard overall length of 4.4 metres – or 4.75 metres in the extended version – the Combo Life has a minimum 597 litres of boot storage, rising to 850 litres in the long wheelbase variant.
However, this rises to 2,126 litres in the regular Combo Life with the rear seats folded flat, or 2,693 in the longer model.
The Vauxhall Combo Life is predicted to arrive in showrooms later in 2018.
