As the clouds cleared bright and early on Sunday morning, Brodie Castle near Forres was a hub of activity as classic cars and bikes from around the north-east gathered to take part in the annual Historic Wheels Rally.
Hundreds of gleaming vehicles parked up in the sun, ready for a day of motoring nostalgia.
This year, the event marked the 42nd anniversary of the event, and involved countless immaculately presented vintage and classic motors.
Visitors flocked to the site to admire the vehicles, while some owners were delighted to take home a trophy rewarding their special efforts to keep their classic motor on the road.
Each year the rally aims to raise money for various local charities, and with this year’s proceeds still in the process of being counted, organisers say they are delighted with the totals so far and are looking forward to formally presenting the cash.
