It might be just a young ’un in the classic car events calendar, but the Loch Ness Classic and Vintage Car Tour is here to stay.
Now in its third year, the event is set to take place on June 8 and organisers are expecting a strong turnout for the all-new 150-mile route.
From vintage to modern day, classic motors of all shapes and sizes are welcome to take part in the stunning drive around Loch Ness, the Black Isle and Ross-shire, covering some of the most scenic roads in the country.
There is no entry fee, though entrants are encouraged to raise sponsorship which will be donated to local charities.
The last two events have seen more than £9,000 raised from drivers, which organisers are hoping to add to come June.
This year, the beneficiaries are children’s hospice service CHAS and Inverness support line Mikeysline.
But it’s not just a fabulous drive that is in store for entrants, with various prizes available for the farthest-travelled entries and the most money raised.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Inverness Loch Ness, entrants are hoping for sunshine and clear skies, with spectators more than welcome to wave off the drivers as they leave from Inverness.
