BMW used the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association Fleet Technology Congress to showcase its innovative i8 sports car.
All eyes are now on the model, as it’s one of the first plug-in hybrid sports cars to go on sale in the UK.
It uses a host of innovative technologies, including a carbon fibre and aluminium construction and safety features such as autonomous emergency braking and surround view cameras.
With a 131hp 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to a 7.1kWh battery, the i8 emits just 49g/km of CO and returns an impressive 135mpg.
However, it won’t be the only vehicle at the Heritage Motor Centre in July. BMW has also confirmed a number of other models will be on display, including the i3, 435i Luxury Gran Coupe, 218i Active Tourer and X4 crossover, as well as the new F56 Mini.
