Thinking of buying a small car? Vauxhall wants you to stop what you’re doing and look this way: the firm has just announced prices for the Viva supermini.
The budget-friendly runabout will start from £7,995, which buys a basic SE model with six airbags, electric mirrors and front windows, and remote central locking.
Special ‘Air Con’ and ‘EcoFlex’ versions of the SE will be added for those who want air conditioning or sub-100g/km emissions.
Upgrading to SL trim – a badge carried over from the original Viva – brings a price tag of £9,495 on the road. Climate control, improved seat trim, leather steering wheel trim, six speakers, a USB connection and Bluetooth will all be standard.
Extras like heated seats and steering wheel, rear parking sensors and a sliding glass sunroof are ammunition that Vauxhall hopes will tempt buyers away from established
city cars.
