Kawasaki could build another supercharged motorbike – and this one could be built with luxury in mind.
By combining race bike acceleration with softer, plusher materials the Japanese bike maker would hope to create the two-wheeled equivalent of the Bentley Continental GT.
Concept SC 01, otherwise known as Spirit Charger, is one idea being pursued by Kawasaki’s engineers. In a statement the firm suggests “a machine suitable for all day, long distance enjoyment and comfort.”
New supercharger technology could include what the firm calls the Balanced Supercharged Engine, where electronically controlled flaps at the supercharger entrance allow the volume of intake air and airflow direction to be adjusted for increased efficiency.
Meanwhile, the latest versions of the Ninja H2 will gain a slipper/assist clutch. Both it and the ultra-exclusive H2R receive minor ECU updates.
