Whether you like it or loathe it, you can’t deny that snow can turn the most dark and dismal scene into a beautiful winter wonderland.

Parts of Scotland woke up to fresh sheets of the cold white stuff this morning after overnight flurries lined roads and driveways.

Several schools in the Highlands closed while homes in the far north were left without power during the year’s second spell of wintry weather.

So this last one is from New York, but it was too cute not to include.
