In the third part of The Press and Journal’s then and now photography series, this image shows very little change to the scenery surrounding Aberdeen Grammar School.
Taken in October 1958, the original black and white image shows a very quiet scene outside the school.
To compare and contrast with the present day, The P&J’s picture editor David Bradley, created a fascinating montage on Photoshop by taking the image and blending another, taken last week from the exact same spot, into it.
Remember to keep your eyes peeled for more photo montages of well known spots in Aberdeen over the next few days as our picture editor gets to work on a variety of locations around the city.
