Earlier this month, Aberdeen was graced with the presence of two of fastest armed ships in the world.
Norwegian stealth missile ships, HNoMS Skjold and the HNoMS Skudd, arrived in the north-east port on Thursday, May 23 and berthed until the following Monday.
But what other ships have arrived in The Granite City over the years?
From steam cruisers, submarines and super yachts, here are 24 of the most impressive, weirdest and down-right massive ships to have docked in Aberdeen Harbour.
1) August 7, 1945
A type Vllc U-Boat – U-776 – in Aberdeen Harbour.
On the lower gun platform is a 37mm anti-aircraft gun with a further two twin 20 mm cannons mounted either side of the conning tower.
In the picture, the periscopic Schnorkel is raised to full extension.
2) June 10, 2003
The last sea going Steam paddle boat in the world, the Waverley arriving into Aberdeen harbour to refuel.
The boat was refurbished with the help of the Heritage Lottery Fund.
