Are you looking for a cute companion to help brighten your day?
Look no further than the Scottish SPCA’s Drumoak rehoming centre.
The SSPCA’s north-east base is purpose-built to care for a whole host of domestic animals, but the centre can only do so much and these animals are lying in wait to find their forever homes.
Hundreds of animals are rehomed from Drumoak each year, with creatures from cats and dogs, to ferrets and snakes just waiting to find a family of their very own.
Why not take a look at this week’s future pets Norrie, Tiny Tina and Willie?
Norrie
Norrie is a playful cat who adores batting his toys around in his cubicle – but only after making sure his breakfast bowl is sparkling clean.
He can get a little exuberant occasionally and give a passing leg a playful grab and this why he would be best suited to an adult-only home or one with older children.
He would be happiest as the only animal in his new home so he can rule the roost and soak up all the adoration.
Having come from a rural area, he would be looking for somewhere similar to allow him the outdoor access he is used to.
Currently Norrie gets his ears cleaned twice weekly and this would need to continue in his new home – especially if he gets a nice treat afterwards.
To find out more about Norrie check out the Scottish SPCA website.
Tiny Tina
Tiny Tina is a sweet albino micro-ferret likes to snuggle up and roll about in bed most of the day, but comes out to say hello once she hears you nearby.
She likes to play with her toys and is quite confident with people too – and once she is used to you she would play all day if she could.
Tiny Tina will need a suitably-sized, cosy environment with plenty of toys to enrich her day.
She would prefer to be the only ferret in the home so she can get all the cuddles to herself.
If you would like to play with Tiny Tina all day then check out her listing on the Scottish SPCA site.
Willie
Willie is looking for an adult-only home who have experience with positive reinforcement training and socialisation.
He is a friendly boy who loves human company and adventure walks.
The Jack Russell Terrier (cross) likes to have his own space when around other dogs when out and about so he would prefer to be the only animal in the home.
The 10-year-old would also be looking for his new family to continue with his socialisation in a calm setting.
Willie has a long term, pre-existing health condition that his new family would need to continue treating.
If you can give Willie his new home, please apply via the Scottish SCPA website.
