Are you looking for a cute companion to help brighten your day?
Look no further than the Scottish SPCA’s Drumoak rehoming centre.
The SSPCA’s north-east base is purpose-built to care for a whole host of domestic animals, but the centre can only do so much and these animals are lying in wait to find their forever homes.
Hundreds of animals are rehomed from Drumoak each year, with creatures from cats and dogs, to ferrets and snakes just waiting to find a family of their very own.
Why not take a look at this week’s future pets Kaiser, Eowyn and Martin?
Kaiser
Kaiser loves running around with toys – tennis balls especially, and although he doesn’t always want to give them back, he is generally gentle and polite.
The big German Shepherd requires a secure garden so that he can play to his heart’s content.
He has been working on his socialisation so his new owner must have experience with this as well as have some experience with the breed.
His positive reinforcement training would need to continue with his new owner and he would need to be the only animal in the home.
If you can give Kaiser his new home then find out more here.
Eowyn
Eowyn was a little shy when she first arrived at the Scottish SPCA centre but quickly came out of her shell. Now she is always ready for some love and attention.
The beautiful tortoiseshell cat can be a little timid and she would be best suited to an adult-only home or one with older children.
Carers at the Scottish SPCA are unsure of what outdoor experience she has previously had, however they feel she would be happy as an indoor-only cat, or having the opportunity to explore outside in a very quiet area if she wanted to.
Eowyn is still carrying a few extra pounds and therefore her new owners will need to be prepared to continue with her weight loss journey, keep her active and make sure she doesn’t get any extra treats!
If you can give Eowyn her new home, please apply here.
Little Martin
Little Martin is in need of an experienced home that can help Martin with his confidence as he is shy.
The playful lop cross bunny’s personality has been building every day at the centre and will need someone to encourage him to come out of his shell even more.
He would need a large enclosure filled with hides, toys and stimulation to keep him happy and active.
If you can give Martin his new home, please apply here.
