There are even more reasons to fly from Inverness Airport in 2018, including four new fly-direct destinations.

As well as its package holidays, tour operator TUI is offering new flight-only deals to Majorca, for six weeks this summer, from Friday, 15 June, until Friday, 20 July, 2018.

This scenically beautiful island offers fantastic family beach resorts – and much more besides. Hike in the Serra de Tramuntana, a mountain range running along the western coast; hire a road bike and tackle the infamous 9.4km Sa Calobra ascent; tour the gothic Palma Cathedral; or take a day trip on a boat out to smaller neighbouring islands.

Bergen, situated on Norway’s dramatic west coast, is both a UNESCO World Heritage City and European City of Culture. From May 2018, Loganair is running three flights per week from Inverness year-round, making it the perfect place to get away for a few days.

Bergen is an ideal starting point for day trips to the fjords, or hiking or biking in the majestic mountain landscape. In the heart of the city you’ll find colourful wooden Hanseatic architecture. In fact, Bergen inspired the kingdom of Arendelle in Disney’s Frozen!

Often known as a business city, Zurich also offers cool shops, stylish bars and over 50 museums! For the months of July and August, Swiss.com is running flights from Inverness every Tuesday. At that time of year you can make the most of the warm weather and seven hours of daily sunshine by jumping into one of several outdoor pools on offer across the city.

Take a train out of the city to beautiful Lucerne, the ideal base from which to discover the Swiss Alps. And don’t forget to treat yourself to some chocolate!

Located in Norfolk, Norwich is a great destination for families. From June until September, Loganair is running twice weekly flights from Inverness. You’re spoiled for choice for days out with the kids. Try Miniature Worlds, the largest indoor modelling attraction in the UK; Dinosaur Adventure, an award-winning 85 acre park; hire bikes and explore the Norfolk Broads; or have an African adventure at Africa Alive!

As well as these fantastic new destinations, flights to the international hub airports of Heathrow, Gatwick, Amsterdam and Dublin continue to offer stress-free travel across the globe. From March 2018, British Airways is running two flights on a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday to London Heathrow.

KLM offers daily flights to Schiphol Airport, with twice daily flights on Saturdays and for the whole of July and August. The USA is easily reached via Dublin Airport – do the first hop with Loganair on one of their daily lunchtime flights. And if you’re connecting at Gatwick Airport, be sure to book through Gatwick Connects to secure your onward flight connection and free baggage handling.

Get down to the Eastgate Shopping Centre on Saturday 13th January to take part in our exciting competition to win two direct return flights to Majorca – and make 2018 the year you take off for at least one of our new destinations across the UK and Europe!
