While most children are back at school, hundreds of toddlers will descend on Macduff Marine Aquarium to have their own first encounters with the natural world.
Tiddlers’ Fun Time is a series of fun-filled sessions designed specifically to inspire preschool children to learn about the world around them. Each week will introduce a different theme exploring the underwater world through colour, shape and numbers, along with quests to find mermaids, monsters and treasure.
The little ones will have close encounters with real live animals at the aquarium’s touch pools, where they will count the arms of a starfish, search for hermit crabs hiding in shells, feel the spines of an urchin and tickle the tentacles of an anemone.
A sea-themed story time will be chosen from a range of fantastic story books provided by Aberdeenshire Council’s library service.
Tiddlers’ Fun Time will run on Mondays starting on January 12 (excluding February 16) from 11am-2pm. Normal admission prices apply. For more information please contact Macduff Marine Aquarium on 01261 833369, or visit www.macduff-aquarium.org.uk
