This Saturday sees the return of the annual grudge match between Aberdeen University and Robert Gordon University as teams from both institutions take to the River Dee.
The Aberdeen Asset Management Universities’ Boat Race will involve teams tackling the 3.5km stretch of water from the Bridge of Dee to Aberdeen Boat Club.
The day begins at 12.10pm with the toss for stations, followed by the universities’ second-crew race at 12.55pm, alumni race at 1.15pm and media challenge race at 2pm.
The title event itself begins at 2.20pm. Last year, it was the RGU team which stormed to first place – their third consecutive success.
The 20th Aberdeen Asset Management Universities’ Boat Race will be held this Saturday, March 21. Races start from 12.10pm. Spectators are encouraged to come along and cheer on the teams at all the events on the day.
