Police in Wick are appealing for witnesses to an assault which occurred on the town’s Bridge Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Around 1am on August 21, a man in his twenties was reportedly struck to the face by a man unknown to him outside the Bombay Spice Takeaway.
Officers were on foot patrol nearby and attended shortly after. The man was taken to hospital for treatment for facial injuries and later discharged.
Police are looking to trace a man in connection with the assault described as late thirties/early forties in age, around 5’11, heavy build with dark shaved hair and a local Caithness accent.
