A 24-year-old man from Birmingham has been charged in connection with the recovery of drugs with a street value of £35,000.
‘Crack cocaine’ and diamorphine were recovered in the Peterhead area on Monday, May 2 and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Constable Kate Coyle, of the North East Division Proactive Unit, said: “I would like to thank all those who assisted with this particular inquiry.”
She added: “Successful operations have been launched in response to local concerns about drug use, drug dealing and violence in the Peterhead and Fraserburgh areas, and I can assure the public we will continue to target all those who wish to involve themselves in drug activity and organised crime.
“Police Scotland is committed to tackling the supply of drugs in our communities and I would like to thank the public for their support as we rely on your information to target those involved. We will continue in our efforts to make our Policing area a hostile place to deal controlled drugs and I encourage anyone with any information to bring it to our attention on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.”
