Man’s body found at Scottish school

A police investigation has been launched after a man’s body was found at a school.

The body was discovered in a wooded area at Liberton High School in Edinburgh at around 1.30pm.

Police say they are treating the death as unexplained.

Edinburgh City Council said the school day was continuing as normal, and the body had been found at the bottom of the school playing fields.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A man’s body was discovered in a wooded area at Liberton High School.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries to establish the full circumstances are at an early stage.”
