When does your weekend start?
Weekends don’t really exist for a musician as gigs tend to happen more at weekends. But if I’m not working, it usually starts when my daughters are around.
Perfect night in?
With the family sitting to a nice meal and catching up on episodes of something on Netflix and not falling asleep.
Perfect night out?
The cinema. I like restaurants, but I get a buzz going to the cinema. It’s a simple, easy night out and your mind can be somewhere else for a couple of hours. I actually see more films on planes now.
Ideal weekend partner?
My wife.
Favourite weekend shopping destination?
I’m not great at shopping. Having four daughters I find shopping abhorrent. I’m the reason why they put sofas in shops. Really, I’m just a credit card accessory.
Favourite place to walk?
The north-west coast of Scotland. It’s just spectacular in any weather.
Weekend you’d love to live again?
Oh, I have really no idea.
Weekend you’d hate to live again?
Again, no idea, but it would probably be work-based.
Perfect Sunday breakfast?
To be honest, I have the same thing every day. Banana on toast in summer, porridge in winter.
Your cure for the Sunday blues?
I rarely listen to music, but that’s the time I would.
Your dream weekend (if money was no object)?
I spend half my life in hotels, so it would probably be horizontal – anywhere, just letting my mind rest.
