A driver hit a car after being distracted by a drunk woman on the pavement, Stornoway Sheriff Court has heard.
Nadine Occhiochius of Jamieson Drive, Stornoway previously pleaded guilty to careless driving.
The 23-year-old trainee chef had just finished work and was driving along Cromwell Street when she spotted a drunk girl falling on the side of the pavement, her lawyer told the court yesterday.
Distracted by trying to see if the woman had injured herself, she hit a parked car, added the solicitor.
Sheriff David Sutherland fined Occhiochius £250.
