Are you ready for an incredibly cute baby giraffe? Well, here you go

This little dude was born to mother Lehana a week ago at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent, and is already finding his feet.

You might not realise this, but environmentalists fear giraffes could be on the path to extinction, with population numbers having plunged over the last few decades.

A report from the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) suggests nearly 40% of giraffes have been lost in the last 30 years, with illegal hunting and a rise in human population among the reasons.

With breeding programmes like the one at Port Lympne, hopefully extinction can be prevented.
