You’ve heard of drones and selfie sticks… What about a drone that helps you take selfies?

Arms not long enough to take a decent group snap?
Don’t want to look like a tourist with a selfie stick? Well, a new flying gadget currently raising funds on Kickstarter could be the answer to your selfie woes.
The AirSelfie is a camera drone which slots into a cover you can attach to your Apple, Samsung or Google smartphone. It can hover up to 20m high using four propellers to take picture and video.
Co-founder of AirSelfie, Edoardo Stroppiana said “We saw an increasing need for a device that goes beyond a selfie stick, allowing users to take pictures from all angles, and we’re excited to introduce AirSelfie… it sets a completely new bar for the market.”
The 5-megapixel camera generates its own wifi and can even be set on a delay, so your phone won’t be showing in the pictures or videos you take with it.
It looks like the only big drawback is that the current battery life only enables three minutes of flight – so you probably won’t be filming videos for your YouTube channel with it.
You can pre-order the slightly vain yet cool device on Kickstarter right now for $224; the team will start deliveries in March 2017.
