Man and woman pulled from harbour after early morning fall

A man and woman had to be pulled from Lerwick Harbour in the early hours of this morning.

Coastguard were called to the scene after the pair were spotted in the water at around 1.45am this morning.

Police officers rescued the pair before RNLi volunteers had arrived at the scene.

It is not known why they were in the water or what the extent of any injuries they have are – but they were checked over by paramedics at the scene.
