This is the moment a burly band of Shetland Vikings stunned hundreds of onlookers by bursting into renditions of classic pop songs.
Nearly 60 men, who are dressed up for Lerwick’s Up Helly Aa fire festival, offered unique versions of Elvis Presley’s Burning Love and The Proclaimers’ I’m on my Way.
The Jarl Squad, the crew of guizers leading tonight’s annual parade, traditionally spend the last Tuesday in January touring various spots in Lerwick.
Hundreds packed into the Shetland Museum and Archives on Hays Dock for their visit there at 3.30pm today.
The arrival of Guizer Jarl, Lyall Gair, was met with huge cheers.
The group of 58 men, 14 children and eight musicians introduced themselves by singing traditional favourite The Up Helly Aa Song.
The grins of those in attendance grew wider when they followed it up with The Proclaimers’ feel-good 1988 hit.
And they concluded the visit with a lively performance of Burning Love – a nod to the spectacular and fiery ceremony just hours away.
Many in the audience sang along and roared their approval as the song ended.
Afterwards, museum staff presented Mr Gair with a framed photograph of Lerwick from 1920 and wished him well for the evening ahead.
