A Peterhead marine company has collected £1500 for the RNLI at Europe’s largest subsea exhibition.
Maritime Developments raised the cash in support of the lifeboat charity by encouraging donations from visitors to its stand at Subsea Expo 2017.
As part of the event at the AECC, the company also hosted an RNLI fundraising networking event on the first night of the show, which featured award-winning Press and Journal writer, Jeremy Cresswell, as a guest speaker.
Alistair Wilson, of the Peterhead station, said: “The RNLI, and in particular Peterhead Lifeboat Station, would like to thank all those who contributed to Maritime Developments’ fundraising efforts. I am humbled by the support the RNLI receives.”
The firm’s chief executive, Derek Smith, added: “We’re glad to have been able to support the RNLI over the years, and would like to thank everyone who contributed to our fundraising efforts to date.”
