A man has been detained by police investigating the alleged murder of a North-east man.
Brian McKandie, 67, was found dead at Fairview Cottages, Bandenscoth on Saturday, March 12 last year.
Police have tonight confirmed a 23-year-old man has been detained and is assisting officers with their inquires.
A Police spokeswoman said: “Officers are carrying out inquiries in relation to the murder of Brian McKandie, who was found dead at his home at Badenscoth on March 12, 2016. A 23-year-old man has been detained and is assisting with inquiries.
“Further information will be released when available.”
