A motorcyclist was fined £180 and had his licence endorsed after admitting colliding with a car when he overtook a lorry in the face of oncoming traffic.
Calum Macleod, of Laxay, South Lochs, Lewis, plead guilty to the careless driving charge at Stornoway Sheriff Court yesterday.
The court heard that Macleod lost control of the motorbike and struck the car on the main road near the Keose junction, Lewis, in October last year.
Procurator fiscal Karen Smith told the court it was an “ill thought manoeuvre.”
Sheriff Iain Macleod issued a fine and imposed three penalty points.
