Motorists on a busy north-east road will face disruption next week as a result of essential safety works.
The A90 Aberdeen to Fraserburgh road, at the Blackdog to Balmedie stretch, will be reduced to 10mph with a convoy in place overnight as barrier works are carried out for the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route.
The restriction will be in place from 11pm-6am from Tuesday until Friday.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place to ensure the safety of the work force and road users.
A Transport Scotland spokesman said: “The contractor will escort road users through the almost a mile of works at 10mph as part of a convoy for safety reasons.
“Convoy working has been used at this location overnight before with delays of around 10 minutes for road users. However, we would encourage drivers to plan their journeys in advance – they should give themselves additional travelling time.
“We thank road users in advance for their patience during this period.”
