Police are looking for information following an alleged assault in Lerwick at the weekend which left a man with serious facial injuries.
The incident is said to have occurred at around 1.20am on Sunday on the town’s Commercial Street.
A 40-year-old man required medical treatment following the alleged assault.
“The area would have been busy at the time with people heading home after nights out. I would ask that if anyone saw or heard anything near to the business, Thulecraft, to get in touch with officers,” Sergeant Victoria Duthie said.
Police are keen to speak to one man in particular who may have information.
He is described as white, aged in his early 20s, five foot six to eight inches tall and of slim build, with short dark hair, pale skin, and clean shaven with prominent teeth.
He was wearing a dark short-sleeved shirt and dark trousers.
Anyone with information about the alleged incident or the person described is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
