Searches continued yesterday for a missing man from Papa Westray on Orkney.
Sergei Ivanov was last seen at around 10am on Monday, April 3, near to his home address towards the south of the island.
Specialist search officers from the operational support unit and police dogs and dog handlers have been involved in extensive searches alongside local officers over a number of days.
Orkney Area Commander, Chief Inspector Gordon Deans said: “Our inquiries to trace Sergei Ivanov will continue and future searches will be based on any information received.
“I would like to offer my sincere appreciation to the local community in Papa Westray and across Orkney for the high level of support they have provided in the search for Mr Ivanov.
“I would also like to ask that the local communities across the isles remain vigilant to any sightings that could assist us with tracing Mr Ivanov.”
