VIDEO: Couple films massive herd of wild deer roaming across Highland countryside

This is the incredible moment a man came across a massive herd of wild deer while travelling through the Highlands.

Anton McCormick, 32, from Glasgow, was with his girlfriend Gemma Galway when they spotted the deer along the A837 near Loch Assynt.

Describing the stunning find, Mr McCormick said: “We had already passed loads of deer but not a group this large. I got Gemma to stop the car to try capture the moment.

“She is used to seeing deer as she is up there a lot but she has never seen that many. After we got the video the deer were all still there but we wanted to reach our destination before it was dark.”

The couple continued to see more deer on their journey but not a group as large as they managed to catch on camera the first time.

Reflecting on the overall experience Mr McCormick added: “This was my first visit up there (to Ms Galway’s parent’s chalets in the Highlands) so it started off quite special by seeing that.”
