The device, which has been described by experts as “very rusty”, was found at around 7.15pm last night at Seafield Beach near Lerwick. Coastguard teams were called to attend and a cordon was set up at the scene to keep the public away. Royal Navy bomb disposal experts are expected to arrive at the beach later today.
