VIDEO: Moment missing tourists rescued from ridge on Skye

This is the moment two tourists who had been reported missing were rescued from a ridge on Skye.

Police contacted the UK Coastguard following reports of two walkers being reported missing from a ridge in the Storr and Trotternish area.

The alarm was raised when one of the walking trio was able to climb down the ridge and alert the emergency services that the other two walkers were effectively crag fast.

The UK Coastguard search and rescue helicopter based at Stornoway managed to locate the walkers and airlift them to safety.
