Police are attending a two vehicle crash on the A90 Peterhead to Aberdeen road
A section of an Aberdeenshire road was closed following a two-vehicle crash this evening.
Motorists faced traffic chaos after the incident on the A90 Peterhead to Aberdeen road resulted in the closure of the southbound lane of the busy commuter route.
Police attended the crash between a car and a van which happened at 4.30pm at the Toll of Birness junction resulting in the southbound lane being closed until 6.11pm.
A police spokeswoman said: “We attended a two-vehicle road traffic collision just north of Ellon. The incident occurred at around 4.30pm between a car and a van.
“Both drivers have suffered minor injuries. The southbound lane was closed, but the road re-opened at 6.11pm.”
