A female cyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car on a busy north-east road.
Police are investigating an incident on a north-east road where a female cyclist appears to have been knocked off her bike by a car.
Emergency services were called to the accident at 3.50pm on the A96 Elgin to Forres road east of Alves.
The road has been closed in both directions and a road traffic investigation team has been sent to the site.
The female cyclist appears to have been hit by a car and she has been taken to Dr Gray’s hospital in Elgin.
A Police spokesman said: “The road is currently closed while investigations are on going, we have no update on the condition of the cyclist at the moment as we are awaiting a full medical assessment.”
