An Okrney Post Office branch is to reopen in its former location.
The service in Finstown will launch on Thursday, June 8 at 1pm.
It will be a low screened service point, integrated into the retail counter.
The branch has been closed since February 2015 when its previous postmaster retired.
It will be run by new postmasters Mark and Sue Kirkbride.
Mr Kirkbride, postmaster commented: “We are delighted that we are able to reopen the Post Office in Finstown. Susan and I have been touched by the enthusiasm and good wishes of the local community in restoration of the service.”
The service will be available between 9.30am and 12.30pm on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays.
Kenny Lamont, Post Office network operations area manager said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
He added: “We are confident that this new Post Office service at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”
