RSPB Scotland’s Dolphinwatch team are holding an activity-packed family fun day on Sunday at Torry Battery.
The spot, which is renowned as an excellent vantage point to spot dolphins, will host visitors from 11am until 6pm.
There will be a variety of activities, including rock-pooling, face painting, arts and crafts, and competitions, as well as dolphin watching.
It is hoped that the event will inspire residents to get more involved with local wildlife.
Amy Hopley from RSPB Scotland said: “The summer holiday is a great time to experience the wild wonders of the outdoors, but you don’t have to travel far to get a truly wild experience.
“Aberdeen harbour is one of the best places in Europe to see bottlenose dolphins and they are often cavorting in the harbour entrance.
“This weekend visitors will also get the chance to get up-close to some smaller marine wildlife at our rock-pooling event and have their faces painted with their favourite marine creature”.
