The Loch Ness lifeboat was called out to assist a kayaker who was in difficulty this afternoon.
An Aberdeen Coastguard spokesman said they received a call and had launched the crew at 3.15pm. He said: “We received a call that a kayaker had been having difficulty near Fort Augustus. He was in a group of three and had been unable to get back into his kayak.
“However, that kayaker was picked up by another vessel before we arrived, so our crew stood down.”
