A male teenager has been taken to hospital following a two-car crash in Aberdeenshire this morning.
The B993 Inverurie to Kemnay, near Autocentre Inverurie Ltd, has been blocked following a crash between a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a silver Mercedes.
Emergency services are currently attending the crash which happened just after 10am today.
A police spokeswoman confirmed that one person had been taken to hospital and said: “The driver of the Corsa has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and one vehicle is still obstructing the road and is waiting to be recovered. We understand there are no serious injuries.”
Fire crews were also in attendance, but were not needed and were stood down. A fire spokeswoman said: “We were called to a road traffic collision at 10.23am this morning, but we were not required as the drivers had been released prior to our arrival. We helped make the scene safe and were stood down at 10.29am.”
Ambulances crews are also in attendance, a Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.07am today to attend a road traffic collision in Inverurie near Kemnay.
“We dispatched two ambulances to the scene. One male patient in his teens was taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
