One woman in her thirties has been taken to hospital following a one-vehicle crash on a north-east road this morning.
The alarm was raised at 8.30am and emergency services headed to the scene just five miles east of Huntly on the A97 Huntly to Aberchirder road.
A police spokeswoman said a blue VW Beetle car had left the road and overturned, but added she did not think the casualty had incurred any serious injuries.
Fire crews from Aberchirder and Huntly were are also in attendance.
The road was closed whilst fire-fighters released the woman from her car, but this has since re-opened.
A fire spokesman said it is understood the car has collided with a telegraph pole and crews had used stabilising equipment, hydraulics cutting equipment and a winch to release a female driver from the car.
