It’s a magical week in the Granite City this week.
On Sunday, Aberdeen will be a hive of activity when the Christmas Lights Switch-on Parade and Denis Law Freedom of the City celebrations get underway.

The free event takes place tonight from 7pm.
WHERE IS IT?
The 35-foot Norwegian fir takes pride of place on the Castlegate.
WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Aberdeen’s twin town of Stavanger in Norway has once again kindly donated a magnificent Christmas tree to the city.
A carol service will be held at the Castlegate prior to the switch-on where the Lord Provost of Aberdeen and Deputy Mayor of Stavanger will light up the beautiful spruce. Musical entertainment will be provided by Big Noise, Torry.
