A minor injuries unit on Skye suspended services overnight last night following a string of closures in recent months.
Out-of-hour provisions was provided by the Rural Practitioner Team based at the Dr Mackinnon Memorial Hospital in Broadford from 6pm following the closure of Portree Hospital’s Minor Injuries Unit/Urgent Care Centre.
Normal emergency procedures remain in place. People should dial 999 if they experience a medical emergency and the Scottish Ambulance Service will respond as appropriate.
If it is not an emergency but cannot wait until your GP is open, NHS 24 can be accessed by calling 111.
