A search is underway in Shetland following reports of a missing 43-year-old woman.
Lorraine Grains, from Vidlin, was reported missing to Police at 12.40pm today sparking a major search by emergency services.
She is described as white, about five foot two in height and of slim build. She has long purple hair and is believed to wearing black leggings or jeans and a long black overcoat.
Lerwick Lifeboat were dispatched to the coastline of Dales Voe yesterday afternoon, while Police officers patrolled the nearby area.
The Coastguard Search and Rescue Helicopter was also conducting a search from the air after receiving the call at 2pm.
Police are urging anyone with information to get in touch.
Police sergeant Chris Hardwick said: “Officers are concerned for the welfare of Lorraine and are appealing to members of the public who may be able to offer any information as to her current whereabouts.”
