A French walker was airlifted to medics earlier today after falling at an iconic Skye landmark.
The woman, in her 40s, was with a companion when she suffered a leg injury at the Old Man of Storr.
Skye Mountain Rescue Team and Portree Coastguard Rescue Team were sent after the alarm was raised at 12.45pm.
The Stornoway Coastguard search and rescue helicopter was on scene at 1.30pm but was unable to airlift the woman until two hours later because of poor weather conditions.
She was taken to a waiting ambulance crew at Broadford on the island. Her condition is unknown.
Meanwhile another woman, in her 20s, was rescued from Smoo Cave at Durness in Sutherland.
The alarm was raised at 11.05am after she fell on the long steps to the cave.
