A photographer capturing every UK and Irish RNLI lifeboat station is in the process of adding lifeboat stations in the Highlands to his project.
Jack Lowe is on a mission to photograph all 238 stations, capturing the view from each station, the crew and the coxswain or senior helm.
The photographer was in Invergordon yesterday and will round off his Highland tour at RNLI Loch Ness on Friday before heading east.
Mr Lowe said: “I am very excited to be back in the Highlands which is an old stomping ground of mine. My dad used to live in Inverness on the canal at Clachnaharry and in my teens I used to instruct kayaking up here.”
Mr Lowe visited Kessock on Saturday as the station celebrated the 25th anniversary of the first lifeboat being delivered to the Black Isle village.
Mr Lowe added: “Saturday was fantastic, a very busy day. We made some really glorious photographs, including nine helmsmen, the biggest group so far. I was also fortunate enough to be present at their 700th shout on their 25th anniversary which was great.
“I have had such a warm welcome from the Scottish crews here. Many have followed the project online but it isn’t until they see it up close that the penny really drops.”
Members of the public will have the opportunity to listen to Mr Lowe speak about the project on Thursday June 7, at the Highland Council Headquarters on Glenurquhart Road, Inverness.
