A man has died while working at a major grain merchant’s business near Strathcaro this morning.
The emergency services were called to WN Lindsay Ltd at Stracathro shortly before 9 am following reports a worker had been involved in an accident.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A male was working on the roof at the location and has fallen through the roof.
“Sadly, he died at the scene as a result of his injuries.”
No more details have been released at this stage and the man’s next of kin are being informed.
A spokeswoman for the Health and Safety Executive said: “We are aware of the incident and are making preliminary inquiries alongside the police.”
Police officers are still in attendance at the scene.
