Police have confirmed that the body of a man found in Aberdeen this afternoon is that of missing pensioner Frank Finnie.
The body is still to be formally identified but the police say the family of Mr Finnie have been made aware.
Mr Finnie, 80, was reported missing from the Sheddocksley area of Aberdeen on Thursday.
Officers found the body at around 1pm today within the city’s Indoor Market on Market Street.
A police spokesman said: “There are no apparent suspicious circumstances but inquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of the death. As is standard a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
