A missing yacht off the coast of Shetland has been located “safe and well.”
No contact had been received from the Cariberia yacht since 12:30am this morning with the yachts last known location being five miles east of Fetlar, heading towards Lerwick.
A Mayday relay had been broadcast to vessels in the area asking for their assistance.
Bev Allen, Duty Controller for HM Coastguard said: “This is a fantastic result and we’re glad the crew are confirmed safe and well. The yacht was found in the search area that HM Coastguard were covering.”
The vessel is thought to be one of the competitors in the Round Britain and Ireland Yacht Race.
