An appeal has been issued by Shetland Islands Council relating to those who may have concerns over their private water supplies drying up during the current spell of dry weather.
The council’s environmental health service is encouraging concerned individuals to get in touch as a Scottish Government plan takes place.
Emergency supplies will be provided where required, but contact must be made through Shetland Islands Council.
Households and small businesses who cannot source water from elsewhere will be given priority, as will those with children, health or medical needs.
Anyone who has any concerns should contact Shetland Islands Council’s Environmental Health Service on 01595 745250.
